Understand. Focus. Develop.
MUDO does not replace the athlete's coach or other specialists. The role is to connect the moving pieces around the athlete and make sure the plan supports the actual objective.
Start with the full picture.
A short pre-intake form gives us the basics. The first meeting then goes deeper once there is context and trust.
- Goals and motivation
- Weekly training, school/work and commitments
- Competition calendar and priorities
- Recovery, lifestyle and current support
- Main frustrations and perceived bottlenecks
Find what is actually limiting development.
We map the athlete's current system and establish a baseline.
- Training load and weekly architecture
- Sleep, recovery and energy
- Nutrition/fueling at a practical level
- School, work, travel and time constraints
- Relevant performance tests and existing data
Turn findings into priorities.
You receive a personalised development plan, not a giant list of things to do. A small number of priorities with a reason behind each one.
- 3 to 4 development priority points
- Weekly structure and training balance
- Specific actions and responsibilities
- Measurable targets and indicators
- Competition and high-load adjustments
Measure. Review. Adapt.
The plan is not static. Short weekly check-ins show what is happening between reviews, while MUDO looks for exceptions rather than creating unnecessary admin.
- 2 to 3 minute weekly athlete check-in
- Recovery, sleep, energy, stress and training quality
- Adherence and emerging problems
- 15-minute review every two weeks
- Coach/specialist communication when needed
See what changed.
At the end of the block we compare the starting picture with the new one and decide what the next block should look like.
- Repeat relevant baseline measures
- Progress against agreed goals
- Athlete and parent feedback where relevant
- What improved, what did not, and why
- Next-block recommendations
A development system you can actually follow.
The point is not to collect more data. The point is to turn useful information into better decisions, clearer priorities and visible progress.
Know where you start.

Know what to improve.

What MUDO is and isn't.
MUDO does not replace your coach.
Your sport-specific coach remains responsible for sport-specific development. MUDO looks at the wider system and helps coordinate the pieces around the athlete.
MUDO can identify a problem without pretending to be every specialist.
Where an issue belongs with a strength coach, dietitian, physiotherapist, psychologist, doctor or other qualified professional, MUDO can flag it and coordinate the relevant input rather than crossing that boundary.
What if I already have a strong support team?
That's useful. MUDO can work around what is already in place and focus on the gaps, conflicts or planning problems that remain.
